Need help with English for the HSC or IB?

We reduce the stress of Higher School Certificate and International Baccalaureate English. Through our individual tutoring and small group workshops, we increase students' confidence in giving presentations, writing examinations and completing assessments.

We do more than just improve marks. We help students discover that they can write and maybe even enjoy it!

What makes the difference?

qualifications, experience, commitment to caring for our students.

You Can Write is established by Dr Kristin Hammett-Stevens BA Hons, PhD, PGCE.

With a PhD in English and teaching qualifications in English with Drama, Kristin has over twenty years experience teaching in schools and universities in Australia and the UK. She is a published author who has conducted research into improving students' writing skills. For the past decade Kristin has helped students from schools across Sydney achieve top results in HSC and IB English (see 2017 results below).

Kristin is also a caring mum of two who understands the anxiety students experience surrounding exams and assessments. She knows how important it is to provide focused feedback and positive encouragement to help students reach their potential. Kristin's tutoring and workshops provide students with valuable practical support and materials to help them with English for the HSC and IB.
